PEI Modern Quilt Guild June 2018 Sew-In

This month's Sew-In was an intimate gathering, as 1/3 of our members were having fun at a weekend quilt camp elsewhere on the island.  Eight of our remaining members were happy to gather for a day of fun stitching and catching up and just enjoying each other's company.

Gail was working on her "No Measure Bargello" project. Her colors are simply gorgeous!!

Velda was busy removing her foundation papers from her "Year of Scrappy Triangles" blocks.

She also shared her Modern Sampler quilt. This is a quilt layout of her own design using assorted blocks from the internet, etc.

Here is her pieced backing.

Heather J. spent some time on binding "The Bee Hive: Double Star". It is lovely and features some blocks that were autographed by Tula Pink!!

Jean has completed her needle punch project and was working on her next piece, which features a kitty!! Sew adorable!!

Cathy worked on her "Variegated Threads" blocks and made some great progress!! Yea!

Linda was working on binding her " Patchwork City " quilt .

She also had a completed flimsy to share. Here's her "Parterre" quilt.

This is the beautiful back she pieced for it. It's just as nice as the front!!

Brenda brought in a bag to work on but, unfortunately, she needed more fabric to complete it. So she stayed to visit and helped Velda with her foundation paper removal.

Liz also stopped by for a visit and to see what everyone was working on.

We had a lovely day sewing and hopefully we will get to see some projects from our members, who were away at the quilt camp, at the next meeting.
