Book, Blog and Fabric

February's Book, Blog, Fabric speaker was Lucinda and she had some great resources to share with us.
Book:

Lucinda's choice for book was "Dresden Carnival"

If you love dresden plates and are looking for a fresh modern spin, then this is the book for you. The book includes patterns for 16 projects from pillows to quilts, there's something for everyone.

Here are a few of my favorites from the book:

Lucinda has already started one of these projects and here are her pretty blocks:

Blog:

For Blog, Lucinda shared sewsweetness.com.

Bags, Totes, Backpacks and more Sara of Sew Sweetness has them all. She even has a "Bag of the Month Club" and offers a course through Craftsy
"Building better Bags".  She has lots of free tutorials as well on her blog.

Oddly enough at  February's Show and Share, Cathy brought in her completed "Oslo Bag" which is a free pattern from Sew Sweetness ( funny coincidence ???)

Here are a few of the other fun bags you can find on her blog:

Fabric:

Lastly for Fabric Lucinda chose to go with something outside the usual. She chose to speak about batting. The different types and their best uses.

Here are several resource sheets from allpeoplequilt.com: ( if you click on the links you can download printable .pdf files to keep or to share.)
